  • 1 Package of 7.75 Marie Callenders Corn Bread (either original or honey butter)

  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • Optional; Add 1 Tablespoon of Fresh Orange Zest

  3. Combine your white sugar and ground cinnamon to make your cinnamon sugar mixture, and set it aside.
  4. In bowl whisk together; egg, buttermilk, maple syrup, and extract. (and optional orange zest)
  5. Fold in your corn bread mix, until there is no dry mix visible
  6. Pour your batter into your prepared pan
  7. Cover the top of your mix with the prepared cinnamon sugar mixture
  8. Bake for 15-17 minutes

 Optional Orange Glaze:

If you decide to use Orange extract and orange zest, I highly recommend you take the time to do this simple glaze. You will pour this hot glaze over the bread, and let it cool and seep into the bread.

Directions for Orange Glaze:

  1. On the stove, in a small pot, combine 1/4 cup white sugar and 3 tablespoons fresh orange juice.
  2. Turn the stove on low, and bring the mixture to a simmer while constantly stirring the mixture
  3. Once the sugar is dissolved, remove from the heat
  4. Pour immediately over the bread
  5. Allow to completely cool, before cutting and eating.
