Ingredients

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached Enriched Flours (Wheat Flour, Malted Barley Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Sugar, Vegetable Oil [Canola Oil (Ascorbic Acid and Rosemary added to preserve freshness) and/or Sunflower Oil], Palm Oil, Buttermilk, Natural Parmesan Cheese Flavor {Maltodextrin, Whey Solids, Natural Parmesan Cheese Flavor [Parmesan Cheese (Pasteurized Milk, Cheese Cultures, Salt, Enzymes), Butter (Pasteurized Cream, Lactic acid), Buttermilk Powder, Enzyme, Natural Flavor], Salt}, Baking Powder [(Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Baking Soda, Cornstarch, Monocalcium Phosphate) leavening], Salt, Baking Soda (leavening), Garlic Powder, Basil, Black Pepper. CONTAINS: Wheat, Milk. This product is prepared and packaged using equipment that may come in contact with Egg, Soy, Tree Nuts (Pecans, Coconut, Almonds), Sesame.

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F.
Lightly grease baking sheet pan, line with parchment paper, or use wedge-shaped scone pan.

In bowl, add water to mix and stir with fork until combined and sticky dough forms. If dough seems dry, add additional water 1 teaspoon at a time.

Drop heaping tablespoons of dough (10-12) about 3"" apart onto prepared pan.

For triangle shaped scones, shape by hand into triangle or if using a wedge-shaped pan, drop even mounds of dough into each cavity and spread into triangle shape.

Bake 13-15 minutes, or until firm and lightly golden on top.

Sweet not savory

They smelled wonderful out of the oven, but could not taste parm,or garlic, and when getting ready for a bite, they smell perfumey and taste sweet, too sweet. Sugar should not be in the savory ones at all. These ruined the stew and after the stew, I couldn't enjoy them as a dessert. The sweet is ridiculous and over the top, and had a weird aftertaste. The texture is good and they cooked well considering the overkill of flours, butter And oils (butter alone is best), etc. I wont buy these again. I'm looking forward to trying the blueberry and Strawberry.

The scones were a perfect with vegetable soup that I made. We usually eat crackers but this was so much better.
